Acts of Kindness

Are you having a tough time dealing with the world? I am. In the midst of anger, resentment, and bitterness, what has happened to compassion for each other?

Isaiah 11:2 (NIV) says, “The Spirit of the Lord will rest on him—the Spirit of wisdom and of understanding, the Spirit of counsel and of might, the Spirit of the knowledge and fear of the Lord—”

I think those are qualities that God instills in us. Understanding, counsel and might, knowledge, and fear of the Lord.

In other words, how can we help the situation?

Is there anyone that we can touch with God’s compassion and understanding? Or perhaps a listening ear or thoughtful deed? No kind word goes unheeded, nor does any act of kindness.

Remember the movie, Pay It Forward? One small act can inspire and change many lives. It’s our job to keep that movement going.
