K is for Killybegs - Ireland, that is

We’re close to the grand Irish day, March 17—St. Patrick’s Day. What better way to get in the spirit than to tell you about Killybegs?
In northwest Ireland, north of Donegal Bay, lies picturesque Killybegs. The second largest fishing port in County Donegal has a population of about 1,300. The cozy town is active with family, friends, businesses, and the yes—the ships.
In 2001, my husband and I met our own Irish relatives in Killybegs. Their hospitality was A+++ and included a tour of the town and port, the best food prepared in all of Ireland, and genuine warmth complete with storytelling.
Donegal is famous for Donegal Rugs, which closed in 2003. Their rugs have complimented homes ranging from The White House to Buckingham Palace. The business is now a Heritage Center.
Think green, think Killybegs!
